NORTH: Troops and the 'Halo Trust' De-mining Organization recovered an unserviceable Rangan 99 AP Mine from the Konavil de-mining site on Monday (5).
CENTRAL: On the information provided by the Intelligence Troops, the Monaragala Anti-Corruption Unit arrested three civilians with two locally made guns and seized 1658.40 kg of cannabis (approximately worth Rs. 66.3 Mn). Additionally, they destroyed 16800 cannabis plants cultivated on 2 acres of land in Kebiliththa on Sunday (4).
CENTRAL: Based on the information provided by Intelligence Troops, STF Kawanthissapura destroyed 7,000 cannabis plants (approximately 7 feet in height) on 1/2 acre of land in Yala Reservoir on Monday (5).
