A distribution of cooked food parcels and dry rations among 55 needy families living in Aushadapitiya, Irattaperiyakulam area, sponsored by a philanthropist was coordinated by2(V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops of the 211 Brigade on 27 June 2022.
Troops under the guidance of the Commander 211 Brigade, Brigadier Chaminda Wijayarathna actively took part in the distribution of those relief packs.
The community-care programme was sponsored by Mr. Saman Gunathilake, a businessman and his family members. The event was attended by the Commander 211 Brigade, Officers, Other Ranks and the Commanding Officer, 2(V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, together with other ranks.
