A group of 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (2 SLSR) troops of the 111 Infantry Brigade under command to the 11 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ-Central quickly moved out and extinguished a bush-fire that erupted in the hilly area of Mahakanda, Watagoda in Kandy late evening on Tuesday (14 Feb).
15 Army personnel, including Officers and Other Ranks after fighting against the spread of wildfire for about five hours of fighting completely brought fire under control.
