Troops of the 66 Division on account of 'Thaipongal' interacted and offered a sumptuous lunch treat to the inmates at Yoga Swami Elders’ Home in Vannerikkulam, Pooneryn on Saturday (14).
The programme saw inmates at the place receive lunch packets and distribution of another stock of 150 lunch packets among villagers in the area.
Grama Niladari at Vannerikkulam, addressed the gathering and expressed his happiness since it was a gesture towards national harmony and reconciliation.
The programme organized by the 2 SLNG was held under the guidance of Brigadier D.S.D Welikala, Brigade Commander, 663 Brigade.
Brigadier D.C Keppetiwalana, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division, senior officers, officers, other ranks and other invited guests attended the programme.
