194 Heroic Sailors Still Under Treatment - NOCPCO

165 individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Rajagiriya (149) and Nipuna Boossa (16) Quarantine Centres will leave for their homes today (13) after the conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates, a statement issued this morning (13) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

By today (13), a total of 13,197 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.

As of now, 4,765 persons are still in quarantine in 44 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.

By this morning (6.00 am) 3 more COVID 19 positive cases, 1 from Qatar and 2 from navy personnel were reported. 35 more heroic sailors recovered and left hospitals.

As of now, heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 876 in total. Of them, 682 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals. A total of 194 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals as of now, the statement ended.
