The concluding ceremony of the Provost Course No - 79 at the School of Military Police, Giritale got underway on Monday (11). Newly trained 166 recruits from the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) passed out after completing the Course.
Major General Anil Illangakoon, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaittivu and the Colonel Commandant of the SLCMP graced the event as the Chief Guest at the invitation of Colonel Seewali Rajanayaka, the Commandant, School of Military Police.
The best students, Sergeant J.T.E Jayasena as the best Platoon Sergeant, Corporal S.M.D.S Senanayaka as the best Section Commander, Recruit A.S.P Wijesekara as the Best Recruit and Recruit S.B.P.S Bandara as the Best Shooter respectively received the awards from the Chief Guest.
Brigadier Lakshman Bamunusinghe, the Provost Marshal, and Colonel Ramesh Sallay, the Centre Commandant of SLCMP and Officers were also present at the occasion.
