144 Infantry Brigade Conducts Drug Prevention Program

A drug prevention program was conducted at Vidyawardhana College, Pelawatta on 02 April 2024 under the guidance of Brigadier M.K.D.P. Mapalagam psc, the Commander of 144 Infantry Brigade.

The program, aimed at enlightening students about the detrimental effects of drug abuse and methods to combat addiction. 100 students took part in the program, under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel E.R.S. Dayananda of the National Cadets Corps, who served as the Coordinating Officer of the Rehabilitation Bureau.

Additionally, assistance was provided by the Assistant Education and Information Officer of the Preventive Education and Training Division of the National Drug Control Board.
