143 Infantry Brigade Opens its Warrant Officers’ & Sergeants’ Mess

The 143 Infantry Brigade HQ in Puttalam warmed its recently-constructed Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess hall fulfilling a long-felt need of the Warrant Officers and Senior Non Commissioned Officers.

The project took nearly 16 months for the troops of the 143 Infantry Brigade HQ, 16 Battalion Gajaba Regiment and 1 Sri Lanka National Guard for completion of the construction to match with high technical standards.

It was officially inaugurated on Sunday (18 June) in a ceremony attended by Major General D.M.K.D.B Pussella RWP RSP, Commander Security Forces-West as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the Commander 143 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier T.M.F Kichilan RWP RSP.

The project was initiated in February 2022 by Brigadier T.M.F Kichilan RWP RSP, with the aim of providing a modern and comfortable living space for the Warrant Officers and Sergeants of the 143 Infantry Brigade.

This newly-constructed Sergeants’ Mess consists of a spacious dining hall and a TV room, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment for the users in the 143 Infantry Brigade.
