As part of their training programme, the 142 Infantry Brigade of the 14 Infantry Division launched a ‘VIP Protection’ Course from 21 - 27 October at the 142 Brigade HQ premises in Kohuwala.
Twelve soldiers received training during the course, conducted by a group of well-trained instructors, skilled in VIP Protection. Major General Roshan Jayamanna, General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division provided necessary guidelines for conduct of the course. It was closely supervised by Brigadier Mahen Salwathura Commander of the 142 Infantry Brigade.
