14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops of the 641 Brigade of the 64 Division with the objective of helping affected adults in the area provided 50 lunch packets to elderly civilians living in Mandakandal area in Oddusudan after visiting their doorsteps on 25 September.
Brigadier Janak Jayawardena, Commander 641 Brigade gave guidelines to organize the treat as a civil-community cooperation project and Major S.I Prasanna, Commanding Officer, 14 SLSR coordinated and launched the humanitarian gesture.
