14 Gajaba Regiment Basketball Players Emerge Winners

The Basketball players of the 14 Gajaba Regiment (GR) emerged champions in the Inter Regiment Basketball Tournament of the Security Force Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-C), concluded on Friday (12) at the Sri Lanka Military Academy Gymnasium, Diyatalawa.
 
The 17 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) Basketball team clinched the runner-up position in the tournament during the final match, played between the 14 GR team and the 17 SLSR.

The tournament was organized on the directions of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake to uplift the skills of sports in the Units and Brigade levels.

The trophies were presented to the winners by Brigadier K.M.A.A De Silva, Brigadier General Staff, SFHQ-C, who attended as the Chief Guest in the tournament. Colonel R.U Abeyratne, Colonel General Staff, SFHQ-C, Colonel S.B Kohona, Commandant, Sri Lanka Volunteer Force Training School and senior officers watched the final match.
