12 GR Completes the Battalion Training

The 12th Battalion of Gajaba Regiment (GR) successfully completed its Battalion Training Course at the Army Training School in Madhuru Oya. The course was conducted from 14 February to 03 April 2024 and 9 Officers and 284 Other Ranks participated in the course.

Brigadier K.H.M.U.B Kolongahapitiya USP, Commander of the 122 Infantry Brigade, emphasized the training's significance in his closing remarks, stressing its role in preparing soldiers for their duties.

During the award ceremony, the following individuals were recognized for their outstanding performances:

• Best Student: Major K.N.T.L Deshapriya

• Best Shooter: Major G.D.I Maithripala

• Best in Physical Training: Lance Corporal D.M.L Ashan

• Best Company: A Company

• Overall Percentage: 70.6%
