Military Intelligence and 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops of the 12 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen), together with Policemen on Monday (22) raided a Cannabis (Ganja) cultivation of one acre in the interior of Telulla, Ethiliwewa areas.
The cultivation with 20,255 Cannabis saplings of about 4 - 6 ft was completely pulled out and saplings were delivered to the Kuda Oya Police Station for onward investigations. However, no suspects were arrested.
The operation was carried out on the instructions of the Commanding Officers under the guidance of Major General Prasanna Ranawaka, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division.
