Several sub-headquarters, including Brigades and Battalions serving the 12 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) organized a free eatery (Dansela) at Kataragama to coincide with the ‘Maha Shiva Rathri’ (Feb 24) day for pilgrims travelling to Kataragama.
12 Division troops of the SFHQ-West contributed to the ‘Dansela’ at Kataragama and served meals to several hundreds.
A group of 32 Army personnel of the 12 Division, 122 Brigade, 23 (V) Gajaba Regiment (GR), 10 (V) Corps of Engineer Services (CES) and 3 (V) Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) serving under the SFHQ-West on the directions of the GOC - 12 Division jointly assisted the project where hundreds of pilgrims enjoyed.
