The troops of 19 Sri Lanka National Guard (19 SLNG) laid the cornerstone for the building of a new house for a needy family in the Lakshapana area an event which took place on 19th March 2024.
This program was initiated according to a concept of the Commander of the Army, under the community-oriented project of building new houses for needy families with financial difficulties, at the battalion level.
Accordingly, the foundation stone for the proposed house for the beneficiary, Mrs. K.G. Mala Mangalika who lives at the address of No;3/31 A, Kumburuhena, Lakshapana was laid by the army troops, in a simple ceremony.
Colonel W.A.J. Hemachandra RSP psc, the Brigade Commander of 112 Brigade graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the event, and Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of 112 Infantry Brigade area participated in the event.
