More than seventy 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) officers and soldiers under 523 Brigade Headquarters and over 50 civilians in Warani, Jaffna got together and donated blood during a mobile clinic held at St Lagoria Church on Sunday (22).
On the instructions of Lieutenant Colonel U.R.W.K.R Kemaratne, Commanding Officer, 11 VIR, the blood donation clinic was conducted with the blessings of the 52 Division.
Blood collected was to be used for patients at peripheral and Jaffna Hospitals.
