11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops of the 521 Infantry Brigade of 52 Infantry Division under command to the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna, intending to conserve the environment launched a beach cleaning project along Akkarai coastal line on Saturday (09 September).
Officers and Other Ranks of the battalion collecting all waste matter and pollutants actively took part in the beach cleaning programme. A group of civilians also supported the gesture.
