11 (V) Gajaba Regiment (GR) troops of the 663 Infantry Brigade under the 66 Division of the Security Force HQ-Mullaittivu on account of their 29th anniversary on Friday (21 April) distributed a stock of snacks among students at Don Bosco pre-school in Kilinochchi and inaugurated troops' own newly-established water purification unit (Reverse Osmosis Plant) in the camp compound.
The anniversary arrangements were launched under the guidance of Lieutenant Colonel W.P.T Perera, Commanding Officer, 11 (V) GR with the blessings of the General Officer Commanding of the 66 Infantry Division and the Commander of the 663 Infantry Brigade.
After brief military formalities on the anniversary day (21 April), the Commanding Officer, 11 (V) GR during a simple ceremony inaugurated the water purification plant that could supply purified drinking water to both troops and the civilians in the area.
