11 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 241 Brigade under the 24 Division of the Security Force HQ-East coordinated and organized the distribution of school bags among 45 school students at Niwguna Saddhathissa Junior College in Eragama, Ampara on 25 March with sponsorship, lent by Mr A.L Tawfiq, District Cultural Officer at Akkaraipattu.
Brigadier Chandra Abeykoon, Commander 241 Infantry Brigade graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and distributed those school bags among students in the presence of the sponsor.
Commanding Officer of 11 SLNG, Lieutenant Colonel W.G.N.D Dhammika Weerasinghe, Principal at Akkaraipattu Hijra College, Mr M.H Thasim and 11 SLNG troops also attended the programme.
