11 Infantry Division HQ of the Security Force HQ - Central on account of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year provided a stock of essentials and a delicious lunch treat for 200 pregnant women in the Kandy National Hospital on Wednesday (19).
The project, supported by Ven. Shreelananda Thero of Asgiriya Maha Vihara in Kandy was initiated by Major General S.R.B Aluvihare RWP RSP USP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding of the 11 Infantry Division.
The conduct of the New Year treat was assisted by a group of Officers and Other Ranks of the 11 Infantry Division who went to each and every beneficiary in separate wards and offered those gift parcels. It received the blessings of Major General W.R.M.M Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu, Commander, Security Forces – Central.
Several Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the day’s New Year treat.
