11 Infantry Division troops of the Security Force HQ - Central, together with under-command Battalions arranged a colourful Vesak Zone at the 11 Infantry Division camp premises in Pallekele on Monday (05) under the guidance of Major General S.R.B Aluvihare RWP RSP USP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 11 Infantry Division.
Accordingly, 11 Infantry Division, 10 Gajaba Regiment, and 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops crafted traditional Vesak lanterns and simultaneously decorated the area attracting a large crowd of sight-seers. The GOC 11 Infantry Division on the Vesak Day (May 05) switched on the lights marking the inauguration of the Vesak Zone.
Moreover, troops offered corriander water and biscuits to the sight-seers as one more segment of the project. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and were present at the event.
