Troops of the 11 Division, commanded by Major General D.S.N.K Senadheera, General Officer Commanding with the objective of assisting patients in Kandy Teaching Hospital and Matale Base Hospital, conducted a blood donation campaign at the 11 Division Headquarters on Friday (11).
A group of 276 officers and other ranks serving the 11 Division from various Brigades, Training Schools and Units joined the day’s programme at Pallekele.
Medical teams from the blood banks of Kandy and Matale Hospitals, including doctors contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
Nestle Lanka (Pvt) Ltd contributed to the blood donation by providing refreshments to the donors.
