Officers and Other Rankers serving under the 11 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen) held a Sinhala and Tamil New Year festival at the 1 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLRC) grounds on Friday (6).
Major General Nissanka Ranawana, General Officer Commanding, 11 Division, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The event included many varieties of traditional games and fun-making features, adding glamour and fun to the occasion. Of them, a model of the rural village that had been erected by 11 Division troops in the premises, came in for praise and admiration of everyone.
Senior officers and Other Ranks were also present at the event and the distribution of prizes to the winners culminated the day’s event.
