Following sponsorship, provided by the philanthropist Mr Sanath Kalupahana, troops of the 3 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) under the 122 Brigade of the 12 Division of the Security Forces - Central coordinated the distribution of 100 dry ration packets among needy families in the Siyanethugama, village for the blind and Julpallama Grama Seva Division in the Tissamaharama Divisional Secretariat on Saturday (4).
Major General Prasanna Ranawaka, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division initiated the coordination of 100 dry ration packs through the generosity of Mr Sanath Kalupahana who wanted the Army to buy those provisions and contribute to the programme.
Brigadier P.K.W.M.J.S.B.W Pallekumbura, Commander, 122 Brigade, Commanding Officer, 3 Sri Lanka National Guard and few Officers attended the event.
