1 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Emerges Victorious in Rugby Competition

The 1st Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (1SLSR) emerged as winners of the Inter-Battalion Rugby Competition 2024 organized by the 4th Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on 22 April 2024 at the Regimental Center of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in Ambepussa.

Accordingly, the 11th (Volunteer) Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment secured the runners-up position in the competition and 2nd Lieutenant I.G.I.K Weerasinghe of 1 SLSR was awarded as the best player of the tournament.

Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commander of the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment participated in the event.
