The 1 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLRC) culminated its Battalion Training Course (BTC) at Maduru Oya Army Training School (ATS) on 19 December. 09 SLRC Officers and 245 Other Ranks participated in the course.
The Battalion Course, started on 01 November refreshed their knowledge pertaining to military subjects, comprised of basic military tactics, map-reading, Counter Insurgency Operations, Internal Security, Fighting in Built-up Area, Civil Law, Military law, Firing, etc.
Major General Senaka Kasthurimudali, Commandant, ATS delivered the final remarks during the closing ceremony.
Special Award winners are as follows:
Best Student: Major C.C Mudannayake
Best Shooter: Corporal D.M Ranthilaka
Best in physical: Rifle Soldier D.M.C Dissanayake
