1 Sri Lanka National Guard (1 SLNG) troops of the 143 Infantry Brigade of the 14 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ - West (SFHQ-West) in a humanitarian gesture recently offered a stock of king coconuts (Thambili) for distribution among patients lying at Kurunegala Teaching Hospital patients including those in the Cancer ward.
Accordingly, troops gave away more than 400 refreshing king coconuts in collaboration with the staff at the hospital. This was arranged under the guidance of the Commander, SF-West and the Commander of the 143 Infantry Brigade. The Commanding Officer of 1 SLNG supervised the necessary arrangements together with 1 SLNG troops.
