To be in line with the ongoing 'Thuru Mithuru Nawa Ratak' green drive, conceptualized by General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant Colonel C.S Demuni, Commanding Officer 1 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps recently launched a project to plant 'Mee' saplings in the Panaluwa farm premises.
Accordingly, 100 saplings were planted jointly by 1 SLGSC officers and other ranks with the support of the Agrarian Services Department in Hanwella and the Forest Department, adhering to health regulations.
