A three-day long (23-25 June) training programme, held at the Headquarters of 1 Corps - Kilinochchi educated and updated the knowledge of Officers and Other Ranks of logistics battalions, serving under the 1 Corps on current social developments and difficulties with special focus on their responsibilities on a suggestion made by Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne, Commander - 1 Corps HQ.
06 officers and 213 other ranks participated in the programme which included lectures and demonstrations covering spheres like the Internal Security, Protection of Vulnerable Points & Key Points, VIP Protection and Rule of Engagement, Function of Road Blocks, Crowd Dispersal, Cordon & Search, etc.
The training programme commenced with the opening address delivered by Brigadier Wasantha Liyanawaduge, Brigadier General Staff - 1 Corps and was supervised by the Training Section of the 1 Corps HQ.
