Officers and Other Ranks of 1 Corps and its under command logistics units on 07 September 2022 listened to a valuable lecture, themed on 'Use of the Military in Law Enforcement'. It was organized by the Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
The lecture was jointly delivered by both Lieutenant Colonel I.M.S.S. K Ilangakoon, Commanding Officer of the 9 Gemunu Watch and Major K.A.P.A Rathnayake. During the programme, the participants were educated on Human Rights and Law Enforcement Powers, Basic principles, Arrest/ Detention and Search/Seizure, etc.
A total of 272 Officers and Other Ranks of the 1 Corps HQ and affiliated logistic units joined the sessions.
