The 1 Corps Headquarters at Kilinochchi with the objective of enlightening all Army personnel about the dangers of narcotics and the importance of prevention from drugs organized a lecture for Officers and Other Ranks on Thursday (25) at the 1 Corps HQ premises.
The lectures to this effect were delivered by Brigadier (Dr.) R.M.M Moneragala, Consultant Psychiatrist at the Army Hospital and his team in the Army Mental Health Unit. During the programme, the participants were strongly educated on prevention from use of alcohol and drugs.
Major General Crishantha Gnanaratne, Commander 1 Corps gave his blessings to the project and Army personnel belonging to Army Logistic Units and other affiliated attended the awareness programme.
A total of 259 Officers and Other Ranks from the 1 Corps HQ and affiliated Logistics Units took part in the programme.
