The 1 Corps HQ in Kilinochchi organized a 'Dhamma' preaching ceremony at the "Nelum Piyasa" auditorium in Kilinochchi on Monday (24 April) with the intention of improving mental health and integrity among all Officers and Other Ranks serving the 1 Corps HQ and its under command formations.
This religious programme was organized on the directions of Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army in order to support their mental well-being, peace and harmony.
It was launched under the close supervision of Major General S.U.M.N Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, Commander of 1 Corps and Director General General Staff (DGGS), together with members of the Directorate of Personnel Administration.
Similarly, necessary arrangements for this meritorious event were properly arranged by 1 Corps HQ troops and its affiliated Logistic Units.
The founder and the chief patron of ‘Ama Dora Viwara Viya’ Sadhaham Foundation of the Seelasamahitha Aranya Senasanaya, Balangoda, Venerable Balangoda Radha Thero conducted the sermon for the troops and invoked merits on all fallen War Heroes and serving ones.
Brigadier W.P.W.C Perera Lsc, Brigadier Admin & Quartering of 1 Corps, together with many Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the day's religious programme.
