1 Corps Holds Project on 'Attitudes and Patterns of Positive Thinking'

An awareness programme for Army drivers and civil staff on 'attitudes and patterns of positive thinking', initiated by the Directorate of Psychological Operations, was held on 08 January 2022 at the Headquarters of 1 Corps in Kilinochchi under the supervision of the Commander, 1 Corps, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe.

This programme aims to develop the attitudes and patterns of positive thinking to increase the efficiency of Army drivers and civil staff. The training session was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Rajee Jumar, representing the Directorate of Psychological Operations.

31 Other Ranks, and 60 Civil Staffers participated in this programme, representing Headquarters 1 Corps, its under-command formations, 57 and 66 Divisions. The lecture included actions to avoid road accidents, awareness of road discipline, the use of road signals, and education on good driving manners. In addition, civil staff members were educated on how to perform their duties enthusiastically and the value of their role.

The participants highly appreciated the lecture, and the same was confirmed by the feedback of the attendees. The awareness programme was held in accordance with COVID-19 preventive measures.
