The 05th Sri Lanka Army Inter Regiment Motor Racing Championship, organized by the Sri Lanka Army Motor Sport Committee held on 11 March 2024 at the Gajaba Super Cross Motor Racing Track, Saliyapura under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu and Major General S.P.A.I.M.B. Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, Deputy Chief of Staff and Chairman of Sri Lanka Army Motor Sport Committee.
The event conducted with the participation of 30 competitors under 06 events, representing 13 Regiments of the Sri Lanka Army. After a tussle, competitors of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Regiment secured the overall championship of the tournament.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General S.P.A.I.M.B. Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc graced the occasion as the chief guest and bestowed awards and trophies to the achievers. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks also witnessed the competition.
