‘Thaipongal’ Observing Soldiers in North & Their Families Treated to Special Get-Together

Hindu soldiers of the Security Forces serving under the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) and their family members on account of Thaipongal season were entertained in a get-together, organized on a suggestion, made by the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya.

The event, held on Saturday (18) at ‘Thalsevana’ Army Holiday Resort was attended by over 200 serving members of Hindu faith in the north, together with their families.

All of them were entertained to a sumptuous meal and music to suit traditional Hindu rites and rituals. Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna and other Senior Officers of Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna joined them and exchanged pleasantries with them. affiliate link trace | Nike
