    THE INTER Regiment Army Boxing Tournament, an enthusiastic annual event among both Army officers and soldiers alike got underway at Panagoda Army Indoor Stadium during March 29, 30 and 31. Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, recording 28 points emerged victorious in the final tournament and 2nd and 3rd places went to Gajaba Regiment (20 points) and Sri Lanka Artillery boxers (17 points) respectively.   • Troops Join Civilians for Sharamadana Work

    TROOPS of three Brigades under command to the 52 Division in Varani recently took part in a few social welfare projects with the close coordination of civilians living in those areas. Four officers and one hundred other ranks of 10 (Volunteer) Gemunu Watch serving under the Nagar Kovil-based 521 recently organized a Sharamadana campaign to renovate the Manalkadu-Varuni main road running via Maseri. Either side of the road was cleared while dilapidated sections of the road were patched to make it motorable for the vehicles.

    The Civil Affairs Office at 521 Brigade, Point Pedro of Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J), intending to help children with oral health, organized a mobile dental clinic at Shiva Prakash Vidyalaya, Point Pedro on Tuesday (11).
