A seven-member United Nations Mobile Training Team (UN MTT), comprising specialists from the German Bundeswehr Air Force, arrived in Sri Lanka on 26 November 2025 to conduct a feasibility assessment for Advanced Field Training for Sri Lankan Army personnel deployed on UN peace support operations.

A reconnaissance team comprising seven officials from the German Armed Forces arrived in Sri Lanka on 26 November 2025, following an invitation extended by Sri Lanka to conduct Mobile Training Teams for Sri Lankan peacekeepers.

The 16th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) successfully completed its second and final Contingent-Owned Equipment (COE) inspection for the year 2025. The inspection was carried out on 19 November 2025 at Sri Base in Naqoura by a team of 15 officials from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The 16th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) participated in the International Cultural & Food Festival under the theme ‘Flavours without Borders’, held at the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Headquarters in Naqoura on 23 October 2025.

United Nations Logistics Officers’ Course (UNLOG) Number - 07 conducted from 29 September to 10 October 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).

His Excellency Mr. Kapila Jayaweera, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon, paid a courtesy call on the Force Commander and Head of Mission of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) at the UNIFIL Headquarters on 03 October 2025.

The United Nations Civil Military Coordination Course (UNCIMIC) Number 06 was conducted from 08 to 19 September 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL). The closing ceremony of the course took place on 19 September 2025.

The 16th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) underwent its first Contingent-Owned Equipment (COE) Inspection since assuming duties on 04 July 2025. The inspection was conducted on 04 September 2025 as the 3rd Quarter COE assessment for the year, by a team of 18 officials from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) at the Sri Base in Naqoura.

Lieutenant Colonel Y.S.H.N.P Silva USP psc GR, the newly appointed Contingent Commander of the 16th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company in Naqoura, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Kapila Jayaweera, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon, on 29 August 2025 at the Embassy Office in Beirut.

The United Nations Staff Officers’ Course (UNSOC) No - 04, sponsored by the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI), was conducted from 11 August to 27 August 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).
