The Layton Cup Boxing Tournament, organized by the Sri Lanka Boxing Association, was held on 20, 21, 22, and 23 July 2025 at the Royal College Indoor Stadium, Colombo. A total of 92 male and 42 female players representing 25 sports clubs participated in the competition.

Colonel Hassan Amir, the Defence Advisor of the Republic of Maldives, visited the Marksmanship and Sniper Training School (MSTS) on 23 July 2025 to review the training progress and administrative aspects concerning two Maldivian Defence Force personnel, Sergeant Hussain Fasheen and Sergeant Aisham Ahmad, currently attending the Sniper Course.
