The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, visited The Grand Maitland in Colombo 07 on 28 July 2025 to inspect the Multi-Facility Complex.
During the visit, the Senior Officer held discussions with the management and staff regarding the existing facilities, service standards and administrative functions. He provided valuable guidance aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and ensuring the highest quality of service for guests.
The Deputy Chief of Staff conducted a comprehensive inspection of all areas and departments under the facility, including the kitchen, storage units, staff accommodations and guest services. He emphasised the importance of maintaining exemplary hygiene standards and ensuring the utmost safety and comfort for all guests. Moreover, the visiting Senior Officer commended the commitment and professionalism demonstrated by the staff serving at The Grand Maitland, recognising their efforts in upholding maintenance and operational excellence.
