The 23 Infantry Division celebrated its 28th Anniversary on 23 July 2025 with a series of commemorative events under the guidance of Major General G.P.P. Kulatilaka ndc, the General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division.
Multi-religious observances were conducted to invoke blessings on the Division and its troops on 22 July 2025. On the Anniversary Day, the GOC was honoured with a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour presented by troops of the 7th Battalion, the Gamunu Watch. The day’s proceedings included a group photograph, ceremonial tree planting, and an address by the GOC, during which he appreciated the dedication of all ranks and encouraged continued professionalism.
The day concluded with an All-Ranks lunch. A cricket tournament held on 24 July 2025 at the Divisional Playground brought the celebrations to a close.
