The 22 Infantry Division celebrated its 28th Anniversary on 23 July 2025 with a series of formal military events, under the guidance of its General Officer Commanding, Major General H.D.L.S. Perera RWP RSP ndc.
Upon arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour in accordance with full military tradition. Subsequently, he was invited to pose for a group photograph with the staff officers, followed by an All-Ranks lunch.
