The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Aviation Unit Contingent Pre-Deployment Training Course No. 11 – Stage II, conducted in preparation for the MINUSCA mission, concluded on 21 November 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).
A conference was convened this morning at Army Headquarters, chaired by Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, with the participation of senior military, police and government officials. The discussion focused on assessing the prevailing adverse weather conditions and further strengthening and coordinating ongoing disaster-relief operations across the affected regions.
Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, convened a virtual conference with Field Commanders to assess the prevailing adverse weather situation and issued necessary directives to strengthen and streamline ongoing disaster-relief operations in today evening at Army Headquarters.
A coordinating conference aimed at enhancing the national response to the prevailing adverse weather conditions was held at Army Headquarters last night, headed by Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army.
Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, paid a visit to the Emergency Safety Centre established at Rajasinghe College, Wellampitiya, on 29 November 2025 to assess the wellbeing of affected residents and review the ongoing disaster-relief operations in the area.
In response to an urgent request from the Anuradhapura Blood Bank regarding a critical shortage of blood for kidney, cancer and thalassaemia patients, the 21 Infantry Division organised an immediate mobile blood donation campaign.
A reconnaissance team comprising seven officials from the German Armed Forces arrived in Sri Lanka on 26 November 2025, following an invitation extended by Sri Lanka to conduct Mobile Training Teams for Sri Lankan peacekeepers.
The military funeral of the late Brigadier W.V.S. Botejue (Retd) RWP RSP psc of the Gemunu Watch was held at the General Cemetery, Borella, on 27 November 2025.
The W.S. Botheju Memorial Wrestling Championship 2025, conducted by the Suranimala Sports Club, took place on 22 and 23 November 2025 at the Indoor Stadium in Ja-Ela. A total of 34 male and 13 female athletes represented the Sri Lanka Army under the supervision of Major General A.M.C. Abeykoon RWP RSP USP ndu, Chairman of the Army Wrestling Committee.
