Troops of the 24 Infantry Division contributed to relief efforts following adverse weather conditions reported on 26 November 2025. Brigadier W.V.S. Botejue (Retd) RWP RSP psc passed away on 25 November 2025 after a brief illness while receiving treatment at the Army Hospital, Narahenpita. He was 76 years old at the time of his demise.

A fire erupted at a private company showroom in Vauniya on 25 November 2025, causing damage to the building and its contents. The troops of the 7th Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, with the participation of the Fire Brigade from Air Force Base Vauniya, Municipal Council, Vauniya and Vauniya Police, promptly responded to contain the blaze, which posed a risk of spreading across the premises.
A fire erupted at a factory in Panadura on 24 November 2025, causing extensive damage to the main building and adjoining storage areas. Fire brigades from the Air Force Base, Kalutara and Moratuwa, together with troops of the 1 Sri Lanka Pioneer Corps, promptly responded to contain the blaze, which posed a risk of spreading across the industrial premises.
