Preliminary Awareness Lecture on Warriorpreneurship Programme Conducted at Army Headquarters

A preliminary awareness lecture on the Warriorpreneurship Programme, organised by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, was held at the Multifunction Hall, Army Headquarters on 11 February 2026. The programme was coordinated by Brigadier R.G.L.K. Weerakoon RWP RSP, Director of the Directorate of Veteran Affairs and Rehabilitation under the guidance of Major General K.P. Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) WWV RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Honourable Deputy Minister of Defence.

Major General H.H.K.S.S. Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Adjutant General of the Army, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The session aimed to support military personnel due to retire in the near future, facilitating their integration into the national economy and enhancing their entrepreneurial capabilities.

The programme was conducted by Mr. Erandika Dissanayaka, Director General of the Export Control Board and Director (Entrepreneurship Development), together with Mr. Dhanuka Abeythunga, Training Officer of the Small Enterprises Development Division.

Senior Officers, Officers and representatives from the Office of the Deputy Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development participated in the event.
