Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 59 Infantry Division, visited the 592 Infantry Brigade on 30 September 2024.

The 563 Infantry Brigade proudly celebrated its 27th Anniversary on 4 October 2024. As part of the commemorations, Brigade troops organized several events, including a flag blessing and a dairy food offering at Sri Maha Bodhi, Anuradhapura.

In conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, the troops of 2nd Mechanized Infantry Regiment (2 MIR) constructed a new home for a deserving family on 27 September 2024 in Niliyamotei, Purawasamkulam, Vavuniya under the supervision of Major General W. M. S.C K Wanasinghe RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division.

In celebration of the Sri Lanka Army's upcoming 75th Anniversary on 10 October 2024, Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) organized a Softball Cricket tournament on 3 October 2024 at the Headquarters playground.

The third phase of the housing project, conducted by the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB), took place on 3 October 2024 at the Regimental Centre, under the guidance of Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Commander of Security Forces (Central) and Colonel of the Regiment of SLLI. Mrs. Vajira Perera, Chairperson of SLLI-SVB, donated Rs. 400,000 to support the construction of two houses for soldiers, with Rs. 200,000 allocated per house.

In celebration of World Children’s Day 2024, the 20th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment, under the direction of the Commander of Security Forces Headquarters (East), and instructions of Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, Commander of the 22 Infantry Division, organized a community outreach event on 1 October 2024 at Paranamedawachchiya Vidyalaya with the participation of 77 students.

The Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the Tamil Language Course No. 01–2024, organized by the 9th Field Regiment of the Sri Lanka Artillery, was held on 1 October 2024 at the Cultural Centre, Welikanda.

The SLAGSC netball team emerged victorious in the Inter Regiment Netball Championship-2024, held at Panagoda on 28 September 2024.

Coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, the 51 Infantry Division, under the guidance of Major General W.B.J.K Wimalaratne RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of the Division, organized a blood donation programme on 4 October 2024 at the Division Headquarters.

Major General G.L.S.W Liyanage USP psc assumed duties as the Commander of Logistics Command, Security Forces (Jaffna) on 30 September 2024, amidst religious blessings and military formalities.
