In celebration of the Sri Lanka Army's upcoming 75th Anniversary on 10 October 2024, Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) organized a Softball Cricket tournament on 3 October 2024 at the Headquarters playground.

Seven teams competed and Provost Company team of the 3rd Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) emerged as champions, while the Commander’s Security team secured the runner-up position. Major General J.P.C. Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander of Security Force (Wanni), graced the event as the Chief Guest and awarded trophies to the winners.

Afterwards, musical programme was conducted. Moreover, 36 civil employees serving at SFHQ (Wanni) received special dry ration packs, each worth more than Rs. 5,000. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, and civil employees participated in the event.
