Major General G.L.S.W Liyanage USP psc assumed duties as the Commander of Logistics Command, Security Forces (Jaffna) on 30 September 2024, amidst religious blessings and military formalities.

Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and then planted a sapling in front of the Logistics Command Headquarters followed by a group photograph with Officers and Other Ranks.

Following this, he symbolically signed official documents to mark the assumption of duties and addressed all Ranks. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the event.
