Mrs. Priyanga Wickramasinghe officially took over duties as the Chairperson of the Gajaba Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (GR-SVB) during a simple ceremony held at the Gajaba Regimental Centre on 04 October 2024.

Colonel D.M.B.P.B Dissanayaka RSP USP of the Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) passed away on Monday (07) morning due to a brief illness, associated with heart failure.

The traditional all-night ‘Pirith’ chanting ceremony, marking the final religious observance for the Sri Lanka Army's forthcoming 75thAnniversary on 10 October, was held at Army Headquarters on 5 October 2024. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, along with Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU).

Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division, made his first official visit to the 221, 222, and 223 Infantry Brigades and their respective battalions from 18 to 20 September 2024.
