Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 59 Infantry Division, visited the 592 Infantry Brigade on 30 September 2024.

Upon his arrival he was warmly welcomed by the Commander of 592 Infantry Brigade, Followed by a detailed briefing by Senior Officers. Then the GOC visited the Brigade premises, under command Battalions and a tile factory in Kalamurippu, Oddusudan.

During the visit, he distributed furniture to selected low-income families in the area.
