Members of SLAGSC-SVB Visit Indira Cancer Trust and Suwa Arana

Under the guidance of Mrs. Thushari Abeysinghe, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAGSC-SVB), members of the SLAGSC-SVB visited the Indira Cancer Trust and Suwa Arana on 25 September 2024. The visit focused on assessing the wellbeing of children aged one to sixteen undergoing cancer treatment, along with their families.

SLA - SVB Offers Lunch to an Elders' Home

On the initiative of Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch (SLA-SVB), along with all members, lunch was provided for 60 elders at Senehasa Elders' Home on 07 September 2024, in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

Mrs. Damayanthi Bandaranayake, the new Chairperson of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (VIR-SVB), officially assumed her duties during a brief ceremony held at the VIR-SVB office in Regimental Headquarters on 18 September 2024.

SLAOC-SVB Organized a Donation Programme

The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAOC-SVB) organized a donation programme on 14 September 2024 to provide essential items and dry ration packs to 26 civil employees working at the Army Ordnance Industry (AOI), Central Arms and Ammunition Depot (CAAD), and Army Clothing Depot (ACD).

SLLI Continues Housing Project for Deserving Soldiers

Under the guidance of Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Commander of Security Forces (Central) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), and with the supervision of Mrs. Vajira Perera, Chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI-SVB), a housing project was initiated on 6 July 2024.

9 SLLI Constructs a New House for a Soldier

Under the guidance of Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Quarter Master General and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), and under the supervision of the Chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI – SVB), Mrs. Vajira Perera, the SLLI troops initiated a housing project on 06 July 2024.

CR Awards Top Achievers in GCE A/L Examinations

The Commando Regiment (CR) held a prize-awarding ceremony on 07 September 2024 to honour children of Army personnel who excelled in the GCE A/L Examination - 2023. The event was organised under the guidance of Mrs. Nimali Ranathunga, Chairperson of the CR Seva Vanitha Branch.

Monthly Meeting of SLAMC - SVB

The monthly meeting of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAMC - SVB) was held at the Regimental Centre, SLAMC on 9 September 2024. The meeting was presided by Mrs. Lilanthi Dolage, the Chairperson of SLAMC - SVB.

SLACAL - SVB Distributes Dry Ration Packs

The second phase of dry ration packs distribution was successfully held under the patronage of Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Seva Vanitha Branch (SLACAL - SVB). This initiative aimed to provide ease the economical burden of the soldiers and civil workers serving at SLACAL. Accordingly, 125 were benifited from the programme.
